Call for Papers
We are pleased to invite you to submit your topic ideas for the first DR-Expo, October 16-17, 2007.
Event focused on DR
Many buildings today are monitored and controlled by some form of building automation system whose purpose is twofold: firstly, to provide a comfortable, secure and productive built environment to owners and occupants, and secondly, to manage energy consumption. Most of the focus to date is on the former. The lack of emphasis on the latter is driven by cheap and abundant energy in most of the North American markets. This is now changing, and building automation is front and center in being able to affect energy cost significantly through DR.
Using technology currently available, a more sophisticated and valuable DR can be implemented, especially when leveraging building automation and control systems. Such DR implementation can be noninvasive and sensitive to environmental concerns of climate change.
The DR-Expo is focused on educating building owners and building automation integrators of the value of DR today.
